

The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) is a premier public technical university located in Kozhikode, Kerala, India. Established in 1961 as the Calicut Regional Engineering College (CREC), it was transformed into a National Institute of Technology in 2002 and declared an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act, 2007. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various disciplines of engineering, science, technology, and management. NIT Calicut is known for its strong emphasis on research, innovation, and industry collaboration.
